You can choose how much you want to save up to either £25 a month or £270 a year to enjoy totally TAX-EXEMPT savings. You do have the option of saving higher monthly amounts but the additional sum above the specified £25 a month will be set up as a separate plan and invested in Shepherds Friendly's general Life Assurance Fund and will not be tax-exempt.
How the Plan works
Your Plan will benefit from the addition of bonuses each year based on the Society's profit performance. Remember that as a mutual organisation our members are our primary concern and we have no shareholders to share your profits.
At the maturity of your Plan you will receive a lump sum which is completely TAX-FREE so you can enjoy the full benefits of your savings.
With the Bonus Plan you'll also enjoy guaranteed life cover which is paid out on death regardless of how your Plan has performed.
