If you employ at least 5 people, Shepherds can tailor-make a Group Income Protection Plan that's both highly flexible and cost-effective in terms of your organisation's needs:

  • Competitive premiums

    Your Group premium will be based on the level of benefits your employees would need to see them through an extended period of absence from work. You can select from two options on cover - either cover at 100% of the employee’s salary (increasing if indexed) throughout the term of a claim OR a slightly cheaper option where cover will be at 100% of salary for the first two years and then reduce to 80% for the remainder of the claim period.

  • No special ratings that can increase premiums

    Unlike many Income Protection Plans, Shepherds doesn't apply increased rates by occupation or smoking and you'll find this makes us even more competitive. There will be NO MEDICALS AND ACCEPTANCE IS GUARANTEED for salaries up to £75,000. For those earning above £75,000 a quick and efficient tele-underwriting procedure will take place, avoiding employees having to take time off work for lengthy medicals.

    You can maintain control of costs by selecting specific waiting periods (from 4 weeks up to 52 weeks) before payments start to be paid.
