Golden charter has been selected by Shepherds to provide a funeral benefit option in addition to our Over 50’s Life Plan. Golden Charter will contribute £250 towards the cost of your funeral should you select the option to nominate your policy proceeds to them on death.

When completing the application form, if you wish to select this option, please tick the box required. On death, your sum assured will go to Golden Charter and be used to pay for all or part of your funeral.

If your funeral is less than the sum assured provided on death, your estate will receive the difference. However if your funeral is more than the cover selected the estate will need to settle the difference with the funeral provider.

If you choose the funeral benefit option, the funeral services are arranged and provided by Golden Charter which is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
