Putting our members at the heart of everything we do
Most companies have customers; people who buy into a product or service and then usually have very little interest in the company from that point onwards. When you invest with us you become more than just another customer. You become a member of our society, and this status brings with it some great benefits that can only be offered by a mutual like ourselves.
Our society is wholly owned by our members, and all of the important decisions we make are with the best interest of our members at heart. Because we’re a mutual society we don’t have any external shareholders to pay dividends to, meaning the profit we make is used to add value to your investments and to maintain the high standards of products and services that we offer.
In becoming a member you’ll get a voice in how we operate, and you can vote on key issues within the company. You’ll be invited to attend our Annual General Meeting and we’ll also ask you for feedback and opinions on the service and the products we provide you with, as well as offering focus groups within which you will be able to meet key members of the Society and can present your thoughts and ideas. We listen to you, because this is your society.
One of our commitments to our members is to provide information and products that are clear, fair and not misleading. This means we try to provide information that is easy to understand, and that properly explains how our products work. We also promise that your money is treated in a responsible and sensible manner, giving you the best possible return on your investment.
Whether you choose to save, protect you income or take out our Over 50s Life Insurance with us, you’ll receive an excellent standard of customer service when you need us. You can speak to the member services team who can help explain more about our plans and how they could work for you individual needs and situation.
We promise that when you need to speak to us you will always speak to a real person and will not get an automated message*.
