To close your Shepherds Friendly Stocks and Shares ISA, you’ll first need to withdraw all your money from the account. Junior ISAs cannot be closed until the child’s 18th birthday, however, you are able to transfer to another provider.
To make a withdrawal from an adult Stocks and Shares ISA, simply email [email protected], and share your plan number and how much you would like to withdraw. Please be aware that when withdrawing money, then you won’t be able to re-invest into another ISA without using some of your annual ISA allowance, so you might want to consider transferring to another provider to ensure your money remains protected from Income and Capital Gains Tax.
Once your money has been withdrawn, then just let our Member Services team know that you’d like to close your account by completing this form, or by calling 0800 526 249. Once completed, your account will be closed within 5 working days. Please note that while we can close your account, regulations do require that we retain certain information for up to seven years.
