Straightforward investing for your future

Our Stocks and Shares ISA is a simple and tax-efficient method of saving for your future or the future of your loved ones. Because it’s an ISA, unlike a normal savings account your money will grow tax-efficiently, and any money you withdraw from the account will be tax-free. This means that your savings go further.

You can open our Stocks and Shares ISA whether you already have an existing cash ISA or not, and we invest your money on your behalf, taking away any complicated or daunting decisions.

Features of our Stocks and Shares ISA

Invest your annual ISA allowance

Every tax year you get your own personal tax-efficient ISA allowance. This is an amount that the government allows you to save under a ‘tax umbrella’; a place where your money is free from income tax and capital gains tax. In our ISA you can invest anything from £30 per month up to your entire annual allowance, or if you have a cash ISA with another provider, you can split your allowance between them to reach your annual savings goal.

Flexible and accessible

We know that your financial situation is not always going to remain the same. This is why it’s easy to stop, start, raise and lower your premiums whenever you like. You can also put lump sum amounts into your account as you please, and have access to your money without charge when you need it.

Tax-efficient saving makes your money go further

One of the main benefits of an ISA is the fact that your savings will be free from income tax and capital gains tax. When you withdraw money from the account it will also be completely tax-free. You don’t get this in a normal savings account.

Simple investing, where we do the work

In our Stocks and Shares ISA we invest your money for you, and this means you don’t have to make any tricky investment decisions. Your money will be invested in our With Profits Fund, and the bonuses you could receive will depend on the future performance of the fund. For more information on how we invest, click the ‘Our Fund’ tab at the top of this page.

Stocks and shares – more potential for growth

In saving for your future your aim will be to get returns on your savings that will help to boost the value. To try to achieve higher returns for you we invest your money in a variety of assets, the majority of which consist of stocks and shares, but also property, bonds and cash. While returns are not guaranteed in stocks and shares investments and the value can go down as well as up, we apply a process known as ‘smoothing’ that attempts to even out fluctuations in the value and aims to keep a consistent level of bonus payments. To find out more about this please click the ‘Our Fund’ tab at the top of this page.

Combine ISA icon

Combine with your Help to Buy or Cash ISA

With our Stocks and Shares ISA, you can open and save into the account even if you have already opened a Help to Buy ISA or a Cash ISA in the current tax year with another provider, and have not yet reached your annual ISA allowance. Even if you use your full Help to Buy ISA allowance of £200 per month, you can still save on top of that in our ISA.
