Thank you to everyone who voted in our 2020 AGM. We know things were a little different last year, but it was great to see many of you using your online or telephone votes to have your say. Keeping members at the heart of the decisions we make is key to our mission of always putting you first.

What is an AGM?
An Annual General Meeting (AGM) is the meeting of the members of an organisation. Each year, we usually invite members to our AGM to vote and help shape the future of the Society.
Last year, we were unable to invite members to our office due to COVID-19 health and safety restrictions. Despite this, we have worked hard to ensure members could still have their say and be well represented at the 2020 AGM.
We are looking forward to being able to welcome members back to our head office once again.
We donate 25 pence to charity for every vote cast
By voting in the AGM, you have helped to provide vital support to a very deserving charity. In recent years, we made a promise to donate 25 pence for every vote cast in the AGM to our chosen charity, Seashell Trust; a pledge which has raised a total of £383 from this year’s meeting alone.
So far, AGM votes have raised £1,345.25 for Seashell Trust
Seashell Trust is a charity based in Cheadle, near our Head Office. The Trust is dedicated to providing a creative and happy environment for children and young adults with complex learning disabilities. To find out more about the great work that you have helped to support, please see this link:

Is the AGM the only I way I can offer feedback as a member?
The AGM is not the only way you can keep in contact or share your views with us. We encourage members to get in touch in a variety of ways: through our Member Services Team (via phone or email), regular feedback surveys sent throughout your time as a member, or via our social media channels.
We value all feedback and take it seriously with the aim of using it to improve the service we offer to you, our members.
