Putting our members first is at the very heart of our values here at Shepherds Friendly. We pride ourselves on doing the right thing and trying to make a positive difference to members through the products and service we provide. And we know that a great way to make sure this happens is to listen to our members. That’s why every member is given the chance to have a say in how we’re run by voting in our AGM. This year, our AGM took place on Tuesday 29th June 2021.

What is the AGM?

An Annual General Meeting (AGM) is the meeting of members of an organisation. Each year, we usually invite members to our Head Office in Cheadle to attend the AGM. Since 2020, we have been unable to invite members to attend the AGM in person due to Covid-19 health and safety guidance. As much as we enjoy meeting members face-to-face, your safety and that of our team comes first.

Therefore, the 2021 AGM was our first ever online AGM, where members had the opportunity to attend and participate in the comfort of their own homes.

Thank you to everyone who voted. The minutes will be available for you to view on this webpage soon. If you missed your chance to vote, we will be in touch again next year with details of how you can vote in the 2022 AGM.

Please note that voting for the 2021 AGM is now closed.

Is the AGM the only way I can offer feedback as a member?

The AGM is not the only way you can keep in contact or share your views with us. We encourage members to get in touch in a variety of ways: through our Member Services team, regular feedback surveys throughout your time with us, or via our social media and review platforms.

We value all feedback and take it seriously, with the aim of using it to improve our service and products for the people who matter – our members.

If you have any questions about the AGM or if you would like more information, please don’t hesitate to contact our Member Services team:
