Cover Customer Care Awards 2022 - Trophies and Confetti

The Shepherds Friendly team is still celebrating our recent success at the Investment Life and Pensions Moneyfacts Awards 2022, but the awards news keeps coming! Following the COVER Customer Care Awards 2022, we’ve got even more reasons to be proud; we won in not one, but two categories at the recent ceremony.

COVER magazine is one of the go-to publications for the health insurance and protection market. Every year, they run a series of awards ceremonies where accolades are highly sought after by those in the industry. Once again, we entered the COVER Customer Care Awards this year and the ceremony took place on Wednesday 28th September at the luxury Montcalm Marble Arch hotel in London.

The COVER Customer Care Awards focus on the human behind each policy and therefore aims to celebrate the providers within the life, health and protection industry whose service stands out amongst the competition. The awards are judged by a panel of industry experts including representatives from intermediary firms, journalists, independent financial advisers and entrepreneurs.

We sent a few members of the Shepherds Friendly team to attend the ceremony, which also included a networking event. We’re delighted to announce that we didn’t go home empty-handed. We came out top in two categories:

  • Outstanding Claims Management Team
  • Outstanding Business Development Team

Our Head of Sales, Laura Hassall attended the event and said:

“We’re thrilled with this win! Our Business Development Team works so hard to go above and beyond when working with our intermediaries. From leading training sessions and providing detailed marketing materials, to being a reliable point of contact for our intermediary partners, we’re there every step of the way.

“This is because we understand the importance of building strong and effective working relationships with the advisers who sell our products, as this results in the best service for our members. The COVER Customer Care Awards are huge within the industry, so this win really does mean a lot for the team and for Shepherds Friendly as a whole.”

Head of Claims, Dan Palk, who was also there on the night, added:

“Outstanding Claims Management Team is such an honour to win. Our Claims team are often there for members in times of need or when they’re at their most vulnerable. It’s a real skill to deal with members with compassion and dignity and to, at times, make difficult decisions. The team do a fantastic job for our members, so I’m delighted that we’ve brought home this award that is a testament to everything they do on a day-to-day basis and to the care that Shepherds Friendly aims to show to every single member.”
