Putting our members at the heart of everything we do

Shepherds Friendly Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Thank you to everyone who attended and voted in our 2019 AGM. It is always great to see our members being actively involved in the running of their Society, and we are pleased that each year we see an increase in the number of members who participate.

When did our AGM take place?

This year our AGM took place on Monday 17th June 2019 at our head office, Haw Bank House in Cheadle.

What is an AGM?

An Annual General Meeting (AGM) is the meeting of the members of an organisation. Each year we invite members to our AGM to vote and help shape the future of the Society.

We donate 25 pence to charity for every vote cast

By voting in the AGM you have helped donate to a great charity. For the past few years we have made a promise to donate 25 pence to our chosen charity Seashell Trust for every vote cast in the AGM, a pledge which raised a total of £495.50 for the charity from this year’s meeting.

To date we have raised £962.25 for Seashell Trust through the AGM

Seashell Trust is a charity based in Cheadle near our Head Office, which is dedicated to providing a creative and happy environment for people with complex learning disabilities including little or no language abilities. To find out more about their work, please follow the link:

Is the AGM the only I way I can offer feedback as a member?

The AGM is not the only way you can keep in contact with us. We encourage members to get in touch in a variety of ways, from our Member Services Team via phone or email, regular feedback surveys sent throughout your time as a member, or via our social media channels. We take all feedback seriously and use it to try and improve the service we offer to you.

If you have any questions about the AGM, or if you would like further information, please contact our Member Services Team on 03303 111826 or you can email them at [email protected]
